On August 31st, 2010, the branch office of YK in Argentina was interviewed by one of the largest Chinese magazine. It further discussed EB-5 programs and sparked many interests from Chinese in Argentina.

On August 25, 2010, City of El Centro approved the El Centro Town Center request for a conditional use permit to allow the conversion of 4,188 square foot commercial retail space to additional classrooms for University of Phoenix. The school can now contain around 300 students.

On August 12, 2010, our director of marketing Howard Ting along with Grace Vallejo( the Mayor pro tem for City of Delano) will visit China for 11 days. The trip will include establish a friendship-city relation with Zhenjiang. Mr Ting and Ms Vallejo will travel to different places including Shanghai, Zhengzhou, Hangzhou. Ms. Vallejo is very excited for this trip and hopping to attract more investor to the City of Delano for city redevelopment.

Under the support of the Mayor of Delano, DELANO Marketplace is on the way for construction. On Tuesday he said that he and the developer for the Walmart Super Center in Delano, YK America, recently visited China to spark some interest in foreign investors to bring more jobs to the area. The pitch is under the federally funded EB-5 program. YK America wants to open the Walmart Supercenter by next spring, which means construction needs to start as soon as possible.

The Delano Marketplace was put on hold after two grocery stores filed a suit to stop the retail giant. Delano Mayor Sam Ramirez said that back in February, a Bakersfield court asked the city to analyze how the Wal-Mart would affect other cities around the area. Ramirez said on May 22 a judge will look over their changes and decide if Wal-Mart can continue to build or not. He said if the Wal-Mart does open, it would bring thousands of jobs.
